Turning Point: Ukraine Takes the Offensive

News Live Ukrainian forces liberated the previously occupied city of Balaklyia from Russian Invaders

“We have to understand that it’s absolutely impossible to defeat Ukraine,” said Former State Duma Deputy Boris Nadezhdin, who publicly called attention to the failing Russian invasion after weeks of Ukrainian forces taking the offensive against Putin’s regime.

Life comes at you fast: pundits on Russian TV realize that their military is failing and their country is in trouble. They are starting to play the blame game. Some of them finally understand that their genocidal denial of the Ukrainian identity isn’t working in Russia’s favor. pic.twitter.com/jNNn5xifI5

Focusing specifically on the Kharkiv region in the northeast. Ukrainian forces have regained ground in the province, most notably the cities of Izyum and Balaklyia, previously major bases for Russian troops. This new development signifies Ukraine making substantial progress by compounding offensive strategies in both the north at Kharkiv and the south at Kherson.

Vitaly Ganchev, Russia’s top official in Kharkiv, told Russian TV that Ukrainian forces outnumbered Russians by eight to one in their northern counter-attack. By compounding attacks in the south as they retake Russian-occupied Kherson, Ukraine is spreading Russian forces thin with these new strikes in the north.

Locals in Izyum welcome Ukrainian soldiers who liberated the city from Russian occupation this week.

In an address over the weekend, President Zelensky reported that since Ukraine’s counter-offensive began last month, over 2,000 km have been regained, outsting Russian forces and sending them running back towards Moscow. Oleh Syniehubov, governor of the Kharkiv region, said the “enemy hastily abandons its positions and flees deep into the previously occupied territories…in some areas of the front, our defenders reached the state border.”

Russian soldiers have been surrendering at both fronts and are being taken in as POWs, understanding that these losses are likely irrecoverable.

Ukrainian forces are not only taking back their own territory, but they’re also launching strikes against important infrastructure across the Russian border. One counter attack in Belgorod hit a central electricity distributing station, leaving thousands in a blackout and damaging Russia’s power grid. Putin retaliated against Kyiv’s recent success by sending missiles towards Ukraine power grids, but Zelensky showed determination that a lack of light and water would not put an end to their resistance.

Every day of this brutal and unnecessary invasion, it becomes more clear to The Kremlin that Ukraine was not the easy target they thought it was. The resistance continues, and so does our reporting to bring you the most accurate and up-to-date information to combat Putin’s lies about how “well” his “special military operation” is going.

Faced with Ukraine’s mounting counteroffensive, which is rapidly achieving impressive gains, concerned Russian propagandists say their forces are battling an “enormous horde,” armed with the best Western weaponry and swimming in foreign specialists.https://t.co/zbvIL4QHzc
